Daniel, Miguel’s grandson, said that Alvaro Tejero (former player of Castilla, Real’s second team) helped him buy tickets for the match against Getafe: “I told my grandfather that we will accompany him to San Rafael hospital . Then I gave him the tickets, my sister came, and then everything went viral.

Miguel could not hold back tears during his stay at the Bernabeu and also when commenting on the moment.

“It’s been 30 or 40 years since I was there. It was incredible. My niece was holding me because she thought I was going to fall. It was… I couldn’t stand the emotion. Madrid is the most important thing for me. I told the family: don’t cremate me. And all of Madrid is in the coffin. And where to bury me, photos of Real Madrid” – Miguel Pozo for ElDesmarque.

The video has garnered 10.7 million views on X (formerly Twitter) and was also shared by Jude Bellingham.

Miguel said that he met the legendary Alfredo Di Stefano in his childhood: “He signed in 1954, and in 1956 I spoke to him for the first time.”
