
The liquefied gas station where several explosions rocked Saturday night, killing at least one person and seriously injuring several dozen, is owned by a company owned by the son of Caracal mayor Ion Doldurea (PSD). According to the mayor of Krevedia, the gas station would be suspended and it would not be allowed to sell fuel.
The LPG station belonged to Flagas SRL, whose shareholders are Ionuc Daniel Doldurea (51%) and Cosmin Ionuc Stinga (49%), Termene.ro reports, News.ro writes.
Romanian television spoke with Ion Doldurea, the mayor of the municipality of Caracal. He says that the station belonged to his son, he is out of the country, but he is returning urgently.
“According to your information, the dead are Pakistani citizens who worked at the gas station. As far as he knows, the station has not been working for some time,” said a Romanian television correspondent who spoke with the mayor of Caracal.
The owner, the son of the mayor of Caracal, along with his accomplices, were there to contact the local authorities.
The mayor of Caracalla, Ion Doldurea, is in his first term. He is a businessman from Caracal and president of the PSD municipal organization.
