A 30-year-old drug addict stole a truck from a pizzeria in Timișoara and then walked the streets of the city as well as the commune of Giroc, pursued by police, News.ro reported. Another courier from the same pizzeria tried to stop him on the street, but he was injured. While trying to escape, the guy who stole the car hit three more parked cars.
According to police, a courier from a pizzeria in Timisoara was preparing to make a delivery on Saturday afternoon when he realized that his handbag, in which he kept his car keys, had been stolen. The unknown got into the courier’s car and drove through several streets in the south of the city. All this was seen by the owner of the pizzeria, who immediately called the police.
Several police teams began chasing the man who stole the car. He arrived at a certain point in the commune of Girok near Timisoara, then returned to the city. At some point, the man who stole the car crossed paths with another courier from the same pizzeria, who had already learned about what had happened. The courier managed to open the thief’s door and tried to pull him out of the car, but he backed up, crashing into the car and in the process injuring the courier who tried to stop him.
Then, in the rush of the car, he hit two more parked cars, and finally stopped with the car in the pole. Then he was caught by the police.
After checking him, the police found out that before stealing the courier’s car, the man had taken amphetamine. Agents picked up the man, and the injured courier was taken to the hospital.
