Polish special services on Saturday began an investigation after an attack on the communication network of Polish railways, which partially “destabilized” traffic in the north-west of the country, reports AFP.
On the night of Friday to Saturday, unknown persons hacked the radio communication network of the Polish Railways (PKP) near Szczecin in the north-west of the country, sending a “stop” signal that caused about 20 trains to stop and be delayed.
Railway traffic was restored several hours later, according to PKP.
According to the information disseminated by the Polish press, during the “stop” signal, the railwaymen heard the Russian national anthem and the speech of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
Poland, a loyal ally of Ukraine, is a key country for the transit of Western weapons to this country, which is at war with Russia.
“At the moment, we do not rule out any scenario,” said the spokesman of the Polish special services, Stanislav Zarin.
