At the age of 39, Karabatic will retire at the end of the 2023-2024 competitive year and decided to announce this on the club’s official website.

“Today I begin my 22nd and final professional year in the colors of Paris Saint-Germain, a club that means so much to me.

I’ll be 40 at the end of the season and I feel like I’ve come full circle. I have done everything I wanted, achieved and exceeded all my wildest dreams.
