Earlier this week, Trump agreed to $200,000 bail and other conditions of release, including not using social media to target co-defendants and witnesses in the case.

Outside the jail, protesters could be heard chanting against District Attorney Fannie Willis, who charged Trump and 18 others in the case.

Former President Donald Trump was arrested and booked into the Fulton County Jail Thursday night, jail records show.

Trump’s height and weight are listed in the documents. He is described as having blue eyes and blonde hair. He was registered as prisoner No. 1. P01135809.

Trump stayed in jail for about 20 minutes.

The Fulton County Sheriff said all 19 defendants in the Georgia election meddling case will go through the same process as any other defendant, which includes fingerprinting and photography.

Like many of the 18 co-defendants who have already surrendered to prison, Trump’s registration was completed quickly as the former president and his lawyers negotiated the terms of the surrender.

Donald Trump left Atlanta after turning himself into the Fulton County Jail. In total, the former president stayed in Atlanta for more than an hour and a half.

“I didn’t do anything wrong,” Trump told reporters before boarding the plane.

Trump called the criminal case against him “a travesty of justice.”

Donald Trump’s team discussed the photo of the former president before he took it Thursday night at the Fulton County Jail, two sources familiar with the situation told CNN.

In the end, Trump decided he wanted to look “cheeky” in the photo and deliberately kept himself from smiling, the sources said.

Trump is posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, for the first time since 2021

Former President Donald Trump posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, for the first time in more than two years, recalling his surrender at Atlanta’s Fulton County Jail.

The post, which included his photo, contains the same message he previously posted on Truth Social, showing a prison photo of him with the words “ELECTION INTERFERENCE” and “NEVER GIVE UP!” under it

The former president wrote: “I was ARRESTED today at the infamous jail in Fulton County, Georgia despite having committed no crime.”

“But today I entered the lion’s den with a simple message on behalf of our entire movement: I will NEVER give up on our mission to save America.”

Trump’s previous post on X, then called Twitter, was from January 8, 2021, when he announced that he would not be attending the inauguration of President Joe Biden.

Trump’s campaign team is also selling t-shirts with the former president’s prison photo and the words “NEVER GIVE UP!” printed on them.
