Less than two weeks ago, Kristo Grozev, Bellingcat’s lead researcher in Russia, said that Yevgeny Prigozhin would either die or stage another coup. The term given by him was six months.

12 days later, a plane crashes near Moscow, and Yevgeny Prigozhin is among the 10 dead passengers. The information was confirmed by the Russian authorities.

“Everyone knows what they are doing [rușii conectați la regimul Putin] with “traitors”, and Putin did not do this. He wants to see him dead, but he can’t do it yet,” Grozev told the Financial Times.

“In six months, Prigozhin will either die or there will be a second coup… you can remember me,” Grozev said.

Earlier in January of this year, Grozev said that Prigozhin would betray Vladimir Putin within six months, a prediction that came true in late June when Prigozhin led a “march to freedom” to Moscow.
