​After three years of delays, countless delays and hellish traffic, the Doamna Ghica Passage is due to open in about two weeks. This was announced by the general mayor of the capital Nikushor Dan, who, however, says that the road does not solve the structural problem of traffic.

• “The city is complex, and to solve the problem of the city structure, you need to act in a structured way. It is no longer possible to build a bridge here, a bridge there.
• In two weeks we are going to open the bridge over Doamna Ghica. I worked there a lot. We will not solve much. That is, traffic will be better at that intersection, but at the next intersection people will drive through and get stuck.
• What we need to do is: develop public transport, repair all tram lines, bring new trams, 100 more electric buses, 100 trolleybuses from European funds or from our National Environmental Fund will come,” Nikushor Dan said on Monday. , on B1Tv, Agerpres reports.

Nikushor Dan also spoke about ten radial roads that will connect some arteries of the capital with the Ring Road. The project is implemented in partnership with CJ Ilfov.

“This is at the stage of technical and economic justification. Until we take it out into the field, it will be another three, four, five years. (…) There will be ten such exits on the ring road, so if you want to go from one district to another, you can go on the ring road, where you will have high speed and re-enter the city. ,” he said.

The transition from Doamna Ghica was made by the Metropolitan City Hall, the developer is the Municipal Trust Company Metropolitan Buildings.

Work on the transition from Doamna Ghica began in 2018 and was scheduled to be completed in May 2020. Transportation is provided by the Metropolitan City Hall, the City Hall of Sector 2 contributed part of the money. The road has two lanes in each direction. Its length is 216 m, and the access ramps are 96 m. The cost of design and execution works is estimated at 110,034,377.95 lei without VAT.
