“A moment of confusion and disorientation, caused by the fear of losing the nanny’s job in Taranto,” was how the woman explained her decision to abandon her child.

A young woman who is going through a divorce left Georgia by bus to Istanbul, from there she flew to Budapest, then to Bari and finally to Taranto. She worked as a caregiver for about a month and lived in an old woman’s apartment.
