Rapid – Petrolul Ploiesti 0-2, the fifth stage of the Super League

Rapid once again disappointed the fans who came in large numbers for the “Primus Derbi” by the fans of Petrolul Ploești.

Irobiso missed the visitors’ biggest chance of the first half when his 40th-minute rebound hit the Moldovan crossbar.

Shortly before the break, Rapid missed two great opportunities through Oaide and Dugandzic.

Giulesti pressed after the break, but the goal went to Horatio Moldovan after Rezvan Oaide sent the ball into his own net in the 62nd minute.

Last season’s top scorer Marko Dugandzic produced a miss-fest, but instead of levelling, it was 2-0 to the visitors in extra-time when Borja Valle also scored an own goal after a mismatch with the goalkeeper.

After five stages, Rapid occupies only the 11th position, and Petrolul rose to the 5th place in the Super League ranking.
