The sub-inspector of the General Anti-Corruption Directorate (DGA), Ault County Anti-Corruption Service, claims that DGA bosses threatened him after he had an argument during a licensing exam with judge Alin Sorin Nicolescu, one of those who acquitted the executioners of the dissident Ursu.
Choria Gheorghe Georgian says on Facebook that she spoke to the magistrate because she took her time when she was asked for ID for an exam she was taking at Tito Mayorescu University, where she studied European law. .
Later, the dispute continued, as the judge allegedly commented on the request of some candidates for the toilet. He would ask for the ID again to record the data, and the policeman would tell him that it was illegal.
“When I sat down on the bench, he made sure that no one heard him and asked me ironically: “What are you, stupid?”. after which he took my ID and took it to the branch to record my details there (probably in a personal diary or on a piece of paper, by no means in an accounting diary), or maybe even depict, I don’t know what he did with my identity card. After about 3 minutes he came back to me, gave me my ID and asked me several times where I work so he could talk to my bosses (something very important about what I’m about to say). At that moment, I told him that I work for the General Anti-Corruption Directorate and that he can speak to Mr. Liviu Vasilescu, who is the Director General, but at the same time I asked him who he was, after which he told me that he was Nicolescu Alin Sorin, judge of the High Court of Cassation and Justice, and assured me that he will speak to Mr. Vasilescu to tell him what happened,” Choria Gheorghe Georgian wrote on Facebook.
He added that the next day he was summoned to a conversation with the heads of the DGA. The policeman accuses the chief quaestor Liviu Vasilescu, the chairman of the DGA, and his deputy, the chief quaestor Manuela Popescu, that they made him go and apologize to the magistrate of the High Court, and they accused him of being a laughing stock, and if it is not so, make him leave the police
“I was asked if I knew why I was here and I said no. Then they told me that I was there because of a discussion with Mr. Nicolescu, Judge Alin Sorin, and Mr. Vasilescu even told me that if I didn’t like it in the General Anti-Corruption Directorate, to go to the police, being a somewhat veiled threat from him. Both Mr. Director General and Ms. Deputy Director General started telling me that I was wrong and that I was making a joke of the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption with such an attitude (probably, do not rush to be dignified and prevent abuse means tarnishing the image and making the institution laughing stock) and also told me that Mr. Judge Nicolescu Alin Sorin called some of his friends from the National Anti-Corruption Directorate, friends who called him Director General Liviu Vasilescu to ask him about me and tell him what happened,” he wrote on Facebook.
“I hope you got something out of that equation because the bullet went through your ear.”
The policeman says that he went to the High Court, where he waited for an hour, and the judge did not appear. Then he got a call from the deputy general director, who informed him that the judge was in the Anti-corruption Office. He then received two WhatsApp messages from the judge.
“I waited in front of the Supreme Court of Cassation and Justice for about an hour without receiving any message from the judge (it was the order of Mr. General Director Liviu Vasilescu to wait there as long as necessary), and Fr. At some point, I get a call from the Deputy Director General, Manuela Popescu, who tells me that Mr. Judge Nicolescu Alin Sorin is at the headquarters of the General Anti-Corruption Directorate and that I can go home, which I did. At some point, at 15:08 and 15:09 respectively, I receive two messages on WhatsApp from Mr. Nicolescu Alin Sorin, a message with the following words: “I hope you understand something from this equation because the bullet went through you. ear…” respectively “..and beware of steroids, because they fry your brain,” writes a police officer on Facebook.
Finally, Choria Gheorghe Georgian says he fears for his career “because Mr. Judge Nicolescu Alin Sorin seems to be so influential that he can control the leadership of the General Anti-Corruption Directorate as mere puppets.”
HotNews.ro has confirmed that Choria Gheorghe Georgian works for the DGA and has requested a point of view from the institution, which we will publish as soon as we receive it.
