The leader of the world ranking, Iga Sviatek, reached the semifinals of the “WTA 1000” tournament in Montreal, having won the season number 50 over the American Danielle Collins, the score 6-3, 4-6, 6-2.

With an aggressive and fast game, Daniele already eliminated Eugenie Bouchard, Emina Bektash (in qualification), Elina Svitolina, Maria Sakkari and Leila Fernandez in Canada and managed to cause a lot of trouble to the world leader.
