Tommy Paul produced one of the surprises of this season on the ATP circuit, the American eliminated Carlos Alcaraz in the quarters of the Masters in Toronto.

The leader of the ATP hierarchy Alcaraz lost after two hours and 20 minutes of play to Paul (14 ATP), the score 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
