Super League clubs continue to surprise with their decisions, be it coaches or players. Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe announced on Thursday that he is parting ways with the player he turned down €100,000 for.

Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe parted ways with Mark Tamas – the club refused 100,000 euros from Adrian Mutu’s team

The Romanian Cup and Super Cup winners announced on Thursday on social networks that they are divorcing defender Mark Tamas.

“Sepsi OSK and Tamas Mark decided by mutual consent to terminate the contractual relationship between the two parties.

The 29-year-old defender joined our team in the fall of 2022.

We wish him further success in his career!”, said Sepsi.

Just two days ago, boss László Diosegy claimed that Adrian Mutu’s new team, Neftchi Baku, had made an offer of €100,000 for the Hungarian international, but the sum was ridiculous.

“Tamash wants to go abroad. All day it comes to our mind that he wants to leave, that he doesn’t like us. I even had an offer from Adrian Mutu’s team. They offered 100,000 euros, a ridiculous amount.

He doesn’t even want to stay here, we fight with him for two days, he doesn’t want to train. It has shrunk a lot before my eyes. If we let every player go, what will we do? Are we screwing up the younger ones?

We are not in kindergarten. We will think very carefully about what we do, but not every player can do it on their own. Every football player has a point. He has 200,000 or 300,000 euros.

If someone gives this amount, he can leave. We received 10,000 euros from a team from Poland, we started laughing a lot. All is not well with him,” said Laszlo Diosegy for iamsport.

According to Azerbaijani mass media, Tamash has agreed with “Neftchi Baku” and the signing of the contract is expected.
