In Croatia, two people were killed and several were injured, the Civil Defense Department reported. Significant material damage was suffered in several regions of the country, in particular in the capital Zagreb, where a crane fell on a construction site.

In neighboring Slovenia, a woman died and at least one person was injured as a result of a falling branch.

Meteorologists in Serbia also issued a weather forecast and warned that a so-called supercell storm, which brings hurricane-force winds, hail and rain, is moving from Croatia and will also hit the country.
