Nevada police have confirmed that they have executed a search warrant this week in connection with the unsolved murder of rapper Tupac Shakur, according to the American press, according to the BBC.

Detectives searched the house in Henderson, a suburb of Las Vegas, where Shakur was shot in September 1996.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police did not provide additional details about the raid, citing an ongoing investigation into his murder.

Shakur was 25 years old when he was killed.

There was no arrest.

The house that was searched is several tens of kilometers from the place where Shakur was shot on the Las Vegas Strip.

“The LVMPD can confirm that a search warrant was served in Henderson, Nevada on July 17, 2023 as part of the ongoing investigation into the murder of Tupac Shakur,” Las Vegas police said in a statement, as reported by CBS News.

Tupac Shakur, better known as 2Pac, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on June 7, a few months before the 27th anniversary of the rapper’s death.

Shakur released his debut album in 1991 and continued to enjoy chart success with hits such as California Love, All Eyez on Me, Changes and I Ain’t Mad at Cha.

He would have turned 52 on June 16.
