President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin for his “very clear, unambiguous and strong” statements. “Overcoming Russian aggression and punishing Russia for terror is the historic mission of the current generation of world leaders. And the world will fulfill this mission. Ukraine will win!”, Zelensky emphasized, News.ro reports.

In a message sent on Tuesday evening, Zelenskyi said that he discussed with Cabinet members the protection of ports and the continuation of food exports by sea.

“Last year, thanks to the “Grain through the Black Sea” Initiative, we managed to prevent a price crisis on the world food market. Rising prices would inevitably be accompanied by political and migration crises, especially in African and Asian countries. Obviously, the Russian leadership is now trying to provoke these crises. Without our exports, the deficit on the world market will, unfortunately, be very noticeable. And not only for the poorest countries,” he added.

The President of Ukraine noted that he is working with partners to prevent this from happening.

“For our part, we are developing options for actions and agreements regarding the preservation of Ukraine’s global role as a guarantor of food security, our maritime access to the world market, jobs for Ukrainians in ports and in the agricultural sector. We are fighting both for global security and for our Ukrainian farmers,” he emphasized.

He added that he met with mass media representatives of several African countries who visited not only Kyiv, but also Bucha and the Kherson region.

“Every time journalists from other countries come to Ukraine and see with their own eyes the consequences of Russian aggression, they return home with the truth about this war. And we communicate with them in interviews, not in English or French, we speak in the language of truth, and this helps us a lot to keep and increase the world’s attention to Ukraine, against our struggle for freedom,” he said.

Zelensky noted that he received information about the situation at the front and thanked the military from various branches for protecting the population from Russian missile attacks and drones.

“And every act of using components from the countries of the free world to produce weapons for Russian terrorists, especially Shahed missiles and (drones) … every such act will be our argument that the existing sanctions and pressure against Russia are not enough. The world must limit trade relations with the terrorist state to such an extent that no part of the free world can be used for terror,” he said.

He added that he had an important meeting regarding the spiritual independence of Ukraine, but also that they are working on the preparation of the Doctrine of Ukraine, on the post-war transformation of the country.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that he met with the president of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, an institution that supports economic and social development and implements an emergency reconstruction program worth half a billion dollars in Ukraine.

He noted that he presented new awards to some soldiers, noting that since February 24 of last year, almost 51 thousand Ukrainian soldiers received such awards.

“Thank you to everyone in the world who helps us! And I thank all the partners for the Ramstein meeting, especially US Defense Secretary Austin for his very clear, unequivocal and strong statements. The Defense Contact Group for Ukraine, which met on Tuesday, discussed Ukraine’s “urgent need for ammunition,” US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said, CNN reported.
