“Petrolul” and “U Cluj” played a spectacular match in the first stage of the Super League and drew 1:1.
In the first important stage of the game, the visitors opened the scoring in the 14th minute, when Oleksandr Chipchu distinguished himself with a shot from about 12 meters.
Prahoven responded a quarter of an hour later when FCSB loanee Aleksandra Mousi fired home from a few yards out.
Doru Popadyuk was close to making it 2-1 in favor of Cluj before the break, but the ball he shot hit the crossbar.
The second half brought another goal, this time to the hosts. Giku Grozav shook the crossbar of Gorcha’s goal.
In the 59th minute, Kostiantyn Budescu missed a shot from 11 meters and missed a great chance to put Petrolul on top.
Chipchu could have been man of the match for the Red Caps, but he couldn’t beat the home goalkeeper.
The final score is 1-1 and both teams get their first point of the season.
