The head of the company that was given the contract for the brand identity admitted that the logo was bought from stock sites and not “made” as stated in the description of the purchase on SEAP, dobrogealive.ro reports.

“Indeed, the symbol has been adopted, but we have been working a lot on the identification guide. We had a certain amount of time to deliver all the branding. (…) I can’t tell you how much I bought the logo for, it’s confidential,” Maria Emanuela Khuruyale, manager of Blue Sky Advertising, told Dobruja Live.

“Regarding the information published in the press regarding the graphic element in the visual identity of the Direction Management Organization (DMO) Mamaia-Constanța, we make the following clarifications.

As a result of the contract for visual identity services, visual identity guide, logo creation and visual identity guide awarded to Blue Sky Advertising SRL, we created a brief that would be the basis for the creative processes.

Thus, at the first stage, we were presented with nine visualization options, none of which were validated for branding. In the second phase, we received three options, in different styles, the chosen one was the one that was publicly announced today, July 14th.

Please note that according to the information provided by Blue Sky Advertising SRL, we own the license and rights to use all the graphic elements presented. They were purchased on a dedicated platform, without exclusivity criteria, with all rights transferred to the Mamaia-Constanța Direction Management Organization (OMD). At the same time, we emphasize the fact that this graphic element was the basis of building the visual identity of OMD Mamaia-Constanța, which was abandoned in order to promote the resort.

According to the documents submitted in the public procurement process, Blue Sky Advertising SRL has experience in creating the visual identity and promotion of some of the biggest festivals in Romania.”
