​More than 500 blocks in sectors 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 of the capital will remain without hot water from Monday due to replacement and repair work on the pipes of the primary network, the municipal company Termoenergetica Bucharest announced on Friday.

Hot water will also be turned off in some areas for a week.

According to Termoenergetica, the following interventions will be carried out:

• 1. Main line I – CET Cet Energo – Dn 400 mm and main line II West Dn 800 mm, in the area of ​​the intersection of Iuliu Maniu Boulevard with Valea Cascadelor Street and Ametistului, Mărgelelor and Apusului Streets in Sector 6. The company’s crews will perform work on replacing the 800 mm diameter pipeline , two fittings with a diameter of 400 mm and another six meters of pipe Dn 400 mm.
• Also, on Monday, work will begin on replacing the pipeline as part of Lot 5, Objective 25 of the EU-funded POIM project. Work will be carried out to install a temporary system that will provide hot water for the duration of the work in this municipal project.
• Also, the work necessary to install another temporary pipe of approximately 300 m (Dn 150 mm) will be carried out to carry out the repair of the Dn 400 mm pipes in the area of ​​Apusului Street, without stopping the supply of hot water to customers, for the duration of the work of the first emergency side. In order to implement the provision, from July 17 to 21, 2023, from 23:00, the supply of heat carrier for hot water will be stopped for approximately 200 blocks. The year of commissioning of the gas pipeline in this section is 1969, this section of the network has been in operation for almost 55 years.
• 2. Network replacement works on the Dn 600 mm pipe in the area of ​​Raul Sadului and Sicheu Avenues, Aliorului Street and Nikulitel Avenue in Sector 4. Approximately 60 m of pipe of the same diameter will be replaced. That is why, in the period from July 17 to 21, 2023 at 11:00 p.m., the supply of heating agent for hot water will be stopped in 90 blocks of this district. The gas pipeline was commissioned in 1977, this section of the network has been in operation for over 45 years.
• 3. Pipeline Progresul Berceni Dn 800 mm, in the area of ​​Constantina Brankovianu boulevard and Oltenica road in sector 4. Commissioning works will be carried out for the modernized section through the project of the Bucharest City Hall – objective 5 and the reservation of operation of new sections of the network, for the continuation of work, without stopping the supply of heating agent for HVP.
• At the same time, the company’s crews will intervene to carry out repair work in the primary network in the area of ​​Oltenica road and Padešului street in sector 4. For approximately 150 blocks, the supply of thermal agent for hot water will be interrupted from 5 to 24 July 2023 at 23:00. The year of commissioning of the gas pipeline in this section is 1989, this section of the network has been in operation for almost 35 years.
• 4. Network replacement works on the Dn 800mm pipe, in the area of ​​the Uniriysky sector boulevard. 5. Replacement works will be carried out on approximately ten meters of the pipe of the same diameter. For approximately 40 blocks, the supply of heat carrier for hot water will be stopped, in the period from July 14 to July 21, 2023 at 11:00 p.m. The year of commissioning of the gas pipeline in this section is 1991, this section of the network has been in operation for more than 30 years.
• 5. Repair work on the Dn 400mm pipeline, in the area of ​​the North Railway Station and the Polizu Maternity Hospital in Sector 1, where work will be carried out to replace approximately 15 meters of the pipeline. For approximately 30 blocks of this district, from July 18 to 20, 2023, until 11 p.m., the heating agent for hot water will be cut off. The gas pipeline on this section was commissioned in 1962, while this section of the network has been in operation for over 60 years.
• 6. Work continues on replacing the Dn 200mm pipe in the area of ​​St. Sld. Gheorghe Stanescu from sector 2, where the total length of 60 meters of the pipe will be changed and the Pantelimon road underpass will be made. Therefore, until 23.00 on July 28, 2023, the supply of heat carrier for hot water will be suspended for 10 blocks of this district. The gas pipeline was commissioned in 1978, this section of the network has been in operation for almost 45 years.

Termoenergetica notes that the deadlines for the works are calculated before the opening of the construction sites and the opening of the galleries. The performance of the works depends on their complexity, which is directly related to the condition of the pipes.
