
On Thursday, Romania recorded its highest temperature of the year, exceeding 39 degrees in the shade in several places, while the actual temperature exceeded 43°C. In Transylvania and Moldova there were strong storms and temperatures that briefly fell below 20 degrees, according to ANM maps.
The highest temperature was +39.4°C in Zimnicea, +39.2°C in Beşeti, +39.1°C in Calafat and +39.0°C in Bucharest Filaret and Turnu-Magurele. At other weather stations, it was over 38 degrees.
The lowest maximum was +16.2 C at the Ohm peak. In Poiana Stampei it was +25.5°C, in Josena +27.5°C. It was +25°C in Sulin.
In Transylvania and Moldova there were strong storms and significantly lower temperatures. For example, after lunch it was 18 degrees Celsius in Bystrica, and 19 degrees Celsius in Roman.
On Thursday morning, the minimums were very high: Shiria (+23.2 C), Oravitsa (23.1 C), Constanta (+23 C). In Balea-Lak, the minimum is +12.1°C, and in Merkurya-Chuk +11.6°C.
On Wednesday at noon, it was the hottest in Calafat, +36.6°C, more than 35°C was in several districts of Oltenia.
