A day before the start of the new Super League season, CFR Cluj parted ways with one of last year’s most important players, who will be playing in Serie A this summer.

Goalkeeper Simone Scuffet, sold by CFR Cluj to Cagliari in Serie A

Following the sale of midfielder Nana Boateng to Dan Petrescu’s new outfit Jeonbuk Hyundai for €2 million, the former Romanian champions have dealt another blow.

The Italian Simone Skuffe, who distinguished himself last season in the goal of Transylvania, returned to Serie A.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper, who arrived a year ago from APOEL Nicosia, has passed a medical and will sign a contract with Cagliari, president Christy Balay confirmed.
