Sorana Kirstea made too many mistakes in her match against Beatrice Haddad Maia

The player from Tirgovishte said that she was very disappointed because she made many unforced errors (30, while Beatriz only 11).

“Today, unfortunately, we did not have the same level of play as in the first two rounds. Good performance from her, but at the same time I had much higher expectations for myself.

I think I made a lot of mistakes today and very quickly. The service was also not up to what I would have liked, and I think that mattered, too many mistakes on my part.

There are positive points, I think the first two matches I played very well, today my level dropped and naturally I’m a bit disappointed.

I will be honest and say that I am very disappointed. by me I could do more and the experience I have to do more. But this is tennis, whoever wins here must have time to play two weeks at the same level.

I’ll take the positive, wins in the first two rounds with two pretty tough players. I could have done more today, but I lost to a player ranked 10th or thereabouts (#13).

I will take the positive side and try to learn from the mistakes I made today and try during a difficult season to be more consistent and not make so many mistakes.

There will be a few days off to restore body and spirit a little. Then I’ll go straight into the hard season and start in Washington, then Montreal, Cincinnati and the US Open, that’s the schedule for the next period,” Sorana Kirstea told Eurosport.
