According to the Dutch public television NOS, three windows were broken and graffiti with texts such as “Luke the terrorist” referring to the Belarusian president Oleksandr Lukashenka.

NOS said that a 31-year-old man was detained in connection with the incident.

Lukashenko, who has been in power since 1994, is a key ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin and welcomed Wagner mercenary group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin to Belarus after the armed uprising he led in Russia late last week.

The Belarusian president is also known for his crackdown on the opposition, which accuses him of fraud in the August 2020 presidential election, which he won again.
