
Firefighters from Vilch intervened Sunday evening to evacuate water from several areas of the county where flooding occurred. The settlements of Drageşani and Suteşti were affected, where water entered the yards and covered sections of the road. Heavy rains that occurred on Sunday evening caused flooding in some areas of the Vilca district. Two vans got stuck in the water on the road under the railway bridge in Drageshani on Tudor Vladimirescu Street. Two drivers were evacuated by firefighters.
Also, a house and three wine cellars were flooded on Tudor Vladimirescu street in Dragesan, floods also occurred on other streets of the municipality, News.ro reports. For example, on Căpitan Hoarca street, the yard and warehouse of the economic operator were flooded, also flooding occurred on IC Brătianu and Primăverii streets.
Firefighters from Vilch are also involved in the city of Suteshti. The ISU Vâlcea document shows that none of the emergency managers employed by the local administration are available and the motor pumps that are in the area are not working.
“SVSU (voluntary emergency service – no) is not in the settlement (the mayor, the head of the SVSU do not answer, the deputy mayor says that it is not in the settlement, the motor pumps are broken). The crews that arrived at the scene found 2 households with water in the basements,” the ISU Vilcha said in a statement.
According to the cited source, a local resident appealed to the authorities for support, reporting that there are four flooded households in Sutesh.
