The General Prosecutor’s Office of Dushanbe named the man from Tajikistan who killed two people at Chisinau airport. His name is Rustam Ashurov and he is involved in the kidnapping of the bank’s first vice president.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Tajikistan issued a press release in which it was announced that Rustam Ashurov, the attacker at the Chisinau airport, was declared wanted in his country of origin, writes newsmaker..md.

According to information, on June 23 at 10:10 p.m. Ismatulloev Shukhrat Abdugafforovich, the first vice president of “Orienbank” in Tajikistan, was kidnapped by an organized criminal group from Zakaria Rozi Street in Dushanbe.

On the same day, criminal proceedings were opened and an operational investigative group was created to investigate the crime.

During the investigation, it was established that one of the members of the organized crime group is Ashurov Rustam Karimovich, a citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan, born on March 25, 1980, a resident of Dushanbe. Later, after committing this crime, he fled through Turkey to the Republic of Moldova with the intention of continuing to hide in the countries of the European Union.

“While crossing the state border of the Republic of Moldova and trying to be detained, he took a weapon from one of the policemen at Chisinau airport, killed two people and took several people hostage. Ashurov R.K. was wounded and arrested during the anti-terrorist operation. The criminal investigation in this case is ongoing,” the message reads. (News.ro)
