Deka stated that it was a natural fit for her.

“Besides the fact that I live in sector 6, PNL sector 6 was the leadership of the party. The good management and presence of PNL in the sector is visible. It was a completely natural fit and I wanted to do something for this sector in education. I know that we have schools that are being built with World Bank funds, there are educational units that are being renovated with European funds. It is important to help the community as much as we can,” said Minister of Education Ligia Deka.

She stated that she is a team player and believes that “the best results are based on effort and shared goals.”

“The team of the National Liberal Party was confident that they could bring about the changes that Romania’s education system needed for a long time. I would like to thank PNL President Nicolae Chuke for his support, as well as Mayor Cyprian Chuke who assured me of his support for my activities in PNL Sector 6. Here I found a professional team, open and motivated to participate in concrete projects for the community. I am sure that together we will make every effort to promote the best solutions for education at the local level!”, said the Minister of Education.

Before becoming the Minister of Education, Ligia Deka was an advisor to the President, responsible for the coordination of the Department of Education and Research of the Presidential Administration.
