Wimbledon 2023 will bring match commentary using artificial intelligence
A partner of Wimbledon for over 30 years, IBM has announced that all 2023 match highlights videos available on the London tournament’s official app will feature commentary generated by IBM’s AI Watson artificial intelligence technology.
The aim will be to give fans a “more enriching experience” by introducing the model to the specific language of tennis.
“The new feature will provide fans watching match highlights videos with audio commentary of key moments and subtitles that they can turn on or off.
The tool was designed to provide fans with a more enriching experience while watching key moments of the match with in-app highlight videos, making the clips informative and engaging,” the American company said, quoted by Agerpres.
Wimbledon 2023 will be held from July 3 to 16 at the All England Club complex in London.
