The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that Russia is “the world center of cynicism and from here any order for any evil that they hope to disguise as a catastrophe can come,” referring to the situation at the Zaporizhia NPP and the Russian “terrorist act” in Kakhovka , reports News.ro.
“Complete de-occupation of the Zaporizhzhia NPP is a necessity. And the one who pretends not to see Russia’s occupation of such an object, Russia’s mining of the territory and facilities of the nuclear power plant actually contributes not only to Russian evil, but also to terror in general,” he said.
In a message sent on Thursday evening, Zelenskyi said that a briefing of partner countries was held regarding the situation at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
“Our principle is simple: the world must know what the occupier is preparing. Anyone who knows should act. Of course, after the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovskaya HPP and the deliberate terrorist attacks on other dams and energy facilities, no one in this world should have any illusions about Russia. Russia is now the world’s center of cynicism, and from here can issue any order for any evil they hope to disguise as a catastrophe. There is enough power in the world to prevent any radioactive incident, let alone a radioactive disaster. Everyone understands that the spy services of different countries can send the right signals and can pressure. It is necessary,” he said.
The President of Ukraine added that he will continue to inform his partners and provide information even to those countries that are already claiming neutrality, noting: “It is obvious that radiation does not ask who is neutral and can reach anyone in the world. Therefore, everyone in the world can now help and it is quite clear what needs to be done.”
“Complete de-occupation of the Zaporizhzhia NPP is a necessity. And the one who pretends not to see Russia’s occupation of such an object, Russia’s mining of the territory and facilities of the nuclear power plant actually contributes not only to Russian evil, but also to terror in general. And today we asked the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko to take all the necessary measures, to conduct all the necessary explanatory work with our people regarding the existing risks. And it will happen in the near future,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
He noted that he discussed with the special services, the SBU and the Ministry of Internal Affairs both the situation at the Zaporizhzhia station and the consequences of the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovskaya HPP.
“Of course, we have information about what is happening in the occupied part of the Kherson region. Even the word “catastrophe” is not enough for this. The Russian evil created special groups there to take out and apparently bury the bodies of the dead. This is not the first time that Russia has done this – it is trying to destroy the evidence and traces of its crimes in the occupied territory. This was done both in Mariupol and in other places. But this is the truth that cannot be hidden,” he said.
Zelenskyy noted that he also had a meeting regarding the spiritual independence of Ukraine, which is being worked on.
“It is obvious that there cannot be real spiritual ties with the terrorist state and those who justify the murders of Ukrainians and cover up evil. Every day and every night of Russian terror proves it. And we will come to the point that all dependencies on Russia, which someone somewhere is trying to manipulate, will be destroyed,” he said.
The President of Ukraine expressed his gratitude to those who, even under these circumstances, make efforts so that the people have their own cultural power, referring to the opening of the new Book Arsenal in Kyiv.
