The president of the People’s Movement Party, Eugen Tomak, said that next year the right-wing parties should be in a single political project, specifying that it is an alliance, News.ro reports.
Eugen Tomak was asked on Thursday on Prima News about the project of uniting the right together with USR and Forţa Dreptei.
“I think that in the next election year the right-wing should be found – and when I say right-wing, I mean right-wing parties, but without the PNL. PNL is in the PSD trailer. They accepted this status, no one forced them. We cannot leave some clear things to ourselves, namely that the PNL in 2020 left with this message: don’t waste your vote, vote PNL, get rid of PSD.
What do we have now? The PSD Prime Minister, appointed by Mr. Yohannis, and the PSD-PNL government. So it is not our fault or the fault of right-wing voters that they betrayed the electorate that trusted them. In this situation, I am firmly convinced that a right-wing coalition is needed, which is a credible alternative not only to PSD and PNL,” said Eugene Tomak.
He added that in the person of Katelin Drula, the president of the USSR, he found a balanced politician open to decisions.
“I think that next year right-wing parties, right-wing voices that deserve trust should be found in a single political project. In the alliance, obviously, we represent different electorates. It is very difficult. The merger process takes years. You see that some got angry and did not understand each other in the end. I am very happy to have found in President Katalina Druli an extremely balanced politician and open to solutions,” said Eugene Tomak.
