
SoftServe, one of the main IT companies in Europe, celebrates a year of activity in Romania. The company has hired more than 90 professionals in its first year and aims to reach the 100-employee mark in the coming weeks.
SoftServe started working in Romania in May 2022as part of a global expansion strategy and plans to reach 800 employees in the next 3 years locally.
“Romania has quickly become a talent hub for the IT industry, attracting investors from all over the world. The level of knowledge of the market is constantly increasing, even among young specialists. Building a strong foundation for the SoftServe development center has been a priority in our first year of operations, and we want to accelerate growth in the coming year.” said Dan Paraskiv, SoftServe’s regional manager in Romania.
In autumn 2023, the company is also preparing to open the first SoftServe headquarters in Romania, located in the northern part of the capital, at Charles de Gaulle Plaza.
In the first year of operation, SoftServe Romania was included in top “10 New Tech Companies to Watch in 2023” made by Hipo.ro, one of the largest job portals in Romania, with 12,000 vacancies and over 1 million registered users.
SoftServe emphasizes the work environment flexible and has a remote work policy, thus adapting to modern trends in the labor market. Including the benefits package offered to employees is flexible, the company offers a fixed amount that the employee decides how to spend, with a wide range of services available, from meals and holiday tickets to gym memberships, medical memberships or simply gift cards to well-known retailers.
