Max Verstappen wins Canadian GP – Alonso and Hamilton on podium, Russell out

Once again starting from pole position, Verstappen took his sixth win of the season in Canada and reached 41 race wins, matching the legendary Ayrton Senna.

Spain’s Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) and Britain’s Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) completed the podium, while Sergio Perez (RedBull) finished only sixth.

The race was not without incidents, and after 12 laps the Safety Car appeared. George Russell crashed into the rail but continued until lap 55 when he had to retire due to brake problems.

The victory in Montreal was RedBull’s 100th.
