A 30-year-old woman from Heraklion is admitted to the intensive care unit of Heraklion Regional University Hospital, Crete (PAGNI) with serious injuries to her chest, back and upper limbs after a fight with her partner.

He was immediately operated on, while he had at least 14 stab wounds. The postoperative condition is assessed as critical but stable.

According to police sources, the 35-year-old man attacked his partner with a sharp object, seriously injuring her after they had an argument. It is reported that the woman rushed, despite her injuries, to a neighboring house to ask for help.

Injured and in critical condition, the woman’s 35-year-old partner is also being treated as a security guard. According to information, he tried to commit suicide, and also tried to set fire to their house. The fire was put out by neighbors, according to ERT.

The couple lived together in the Koroni Magara area.
