The attack with racist characteristics, which took place on the evening of 29 May in Protomagia Square, was investigated by the Anti-Racist Violence Unit of the Attica Security Directorate.

In particular, as stated GREEK POLICE.a transgender woman was racistly attacked by an unknown assailant due to her gender identity.

The assailant punched her in the face, injuring her and having to be taken to the hospital.

The police officers who conducted the preliminary investigation of the case, as a result of investigative actions, identified a 30-year-old foreigner who was identified as the perpetrator of the aforementioned attack.

The man was charged with racially motivated bodily harm.

The case will be referred to the Prosecutor’s Office of Athens.
