
Electronic application platform for beneficiaries and providers to participate in social tourism program unemployed workers for the period 2023-2024 State employment service (DYPA).
As stated in the related announcement, for the first time the program will start a month earlier on July 1, 2023 instead of August 1, 2023. will cover 300,000 checkswith a total budget of 35 million euros.
The check with which the participation process is carried out has a unique number for each beneficiary and each beneficiary individually.
The beneficiaries may exercise up to six nights in tourist accommodation, they select from the DYPA “Supplier Register” after their direct consultation with the supplier with little private involvement.
Especially for living in Leros, Lesbos, Chios, Kos and Evros Prefectureit is possible to spend up to 10 nights without private participation, while in the accommodations of the municipalities of Istiaia-Edipsos and Mantoudi-Limni-Ag. Anna of Northern Evia and the municipality of Samos can spend up to 12 nights completely free of charge.
Subsidized prices remain increased by 20% in the peak month of Augustlike last year. In addition, for the first time they are increased by 20% during the periods of Christmas (from 12.15.2023 to 01.14.2024) and Easter (from 04.26.2024 to 05.12.2024). The promotion is valid all year round for residences in North Evia and Samos.
In addition to accommodation in a tourist facility, ferry tickets are also subsidized. The participation of the general category of beneficiaries is 25%, those with many children – 20%. For people with disabilities, ferry tickets are provided free of charge.
On this year’s program categories of beneficiaries expandedand vulnerable groups are strengthened as disabled and single parents.
Beneficiaries
The beneficiaries are:
- employees who are in a private-law dependent labor relationship after the application period has expired, or
- are insured with e-EFKA in their occupational category with contributions to the DYPA unemployment department at any time from 01/01/2022 and the day before the application deadline or
- unemployed with a continuous period of unemployment of at least three months on the date of application.
Income of beneficiaries of all categories it must not exceed 30,000 eurosunless they are long-term unemployed who, if single, must have an income of up to 16,000 euros, up to 24,000 euros if married, plus 3,000 euros per child, or, if single parents, up to 27,000 euros , plus 3,000 euros per child, after the first.
Step by step process
Applications will be submitted exclusively online through the Single Digital Portal of Public Administration (gov.gr) with TAXISnet codes to an email address. https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/ergasia-kai-asphalise/apozemioseis-kai-parokhes/koinonikos-tourismos.
In particular, the route is as follows: Home – Work and insurance – Compensation and benefits – Social tourism programs (STP).
The platform will gradually open according to the last digit of the TIN of the interested beneficiaries until 05/06/2023 23:59, when it will remain open for all TIN digits as follows:

Last digit of VAT number: 3.4 – Application date: 05/31/2023
Last digit of VAT number: 5.6 – Application date: 01/06/2023
Last digit of VAT number: 7.8 – Application date: 02/06/2023

As stated in the announcement, the selection of beneficiaries is based on the evaluation of specific criteria (disability, single parent, number of children, income) in an objective and transparent manner through the DYPA Integrated Information System (IPS).
It is noted that workers and the unemployed who are subsidized for participating in the social tourism program of any other organization for the same period cannot participate in the program.
Supporting documents regarding the terms of participation or scoring of beneficiaries are requested ex officio.
Where supporting documents are required due to the impossibility of an ex officio search, they are attached to the applications.
Example 1
Family with 2 children choosing 6 nights in a 3-star hotel with breakfast in August:
For accommodation, the cost is divided as follows:
- DYPA grant: €806.40 (2 double rooms X €67.20/day X 6 nights)
- Private participation: €96 (2 doubles x €8/day x 6 nights)
Example 2
A couple choosing 12 nights in a 4-star hotel with breakfast in Samos in September:
For accommodation, the cost is divided as follows:
- DYPA grant: €1,036.80 (1 double room X €86.40/day X 12 nights)
- Private participation: 0 euro
For coastal ferries, the cost is divided as follows:
- DYPA ferry subsidy: €111 (€55.55 X 2 persons)
- Participation in a private ferry: 55.5 euros (27.75 euros X 2 people)
In general, the cost is distributed as follows:
Total DYPA subsidy: EUR 1,147.80
Total private participation: 55.5 euros
Program providers are tourist accommodation companies and ferry companies, as specified in the public invitation.
Applications of interested providers will be presented exclusively in electronic form.through the Single Digital Portal of Public Administration (gov.gr), with TAXISnet codes, by e-mail https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/ergasia-kai-asphalise/apozemioseis-kai-parokhes/parohoi-tourismou.

Submission of applications by providers will be possible from 05/30/2023 to 05/06/2023, regardless of their TIN.
