On Sunday afternoon, a 12-year-old child was attacked by a dog from the category of dangerous breeds, which the owner left on the street without a leash and without a muzzle, in the city of Gorzh. The boy was bitten on the hand, criminal proceedings were opened against the animal’s owner.

The incident took place in the commune of Turburea Gorier, where a 31-year-old man let his dog of the Amstaff breed free, without a leash and a muzzle, the animal attacked a 12-year-old child.

“The minor was bitten by a dog on the upper left limb, and the family took him to the permanent residence center in the city of residence for specialized medical care,” Gorije police said, according to News.ro.

The owner of the dog will be investigated for the crime of “failure by the owner of the dog or its temporary keeper to take measures to prevent a dog from attacking a person and causing intentional bodily harm.”
