The application platform for free preventive dental care under the Financial Assistance (Dentist Pass) program is expected to open tomorrow – via gov.gr children from 6 to 12 years old, which is offered by the Ministry of Health for the first time in our country.

What will it include?

In particular, Dental pass –in the amount of 40 euros – will be provided to each child aged 6 to 12 (children born in 2011-2016) who has AICA or a temporary foreigner’s insurance and health care number and must include proof of these oral hygienecleaning and removal of plaque, fluoridation and instruction in children’s oral hygiene.

After submitting an application, which will be submitted through an electronic platform using AMKA and Taxisnet, beneficiaries will receive financial support on a digital debit card that will be issued specifically for this purpose by a credit institution or financial institution.

The debit card will be received on behalf of the child by an adult individual with parental custody or guardianship. This card will be valid for 6 months from the date of its activation.

It is noted that the relevant provision is part of the Ministry’s draft law submitted to Parliament under the title “Sanction a) of the Individual Donation Agreement dated November 22, 2022 – Draft XI, Appendix 13 to the main Donation Agreement dated September 6, 2018 between the Public Benefit Foundation Stavros S. Niarchos Foundation and the Greek State to strengthen and modernize the infrastructure in the health sector and b) Amendment to the Donation Agreement dated 22.11.2022 dated 6.9.2018 between the Stavros S. . Charitable Foundation “Niarchos” and the Hellenic State to strengthen and modernize the health infrastructure and other provisions within the competence of the Ministry of Health.”

With the help of the bill and as part of the initiative of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, a five-year scientific program is also planned and implemented to strengthen the mental health sector of children and adolescents in Greece and ensure the quality of medical care provided in Greece. state psychiatric institutions.

The program is implemented within the framework of the project “Implementation of the National Public Health Prevention Program “Spiros Doxiadis”” of the Recovery and Resilience Foundation of Greece 2.O.
