Fans”Doctor Who‘, the longest-running sci-fi series on British television, has begun the countdown to the biggest event in the programme’s history.

Beloved screenwriter and producer Russell T Davies will return for this tribute, as well as David Tennant and Catherine Tate as the characters of Doctor Who and Donna Noble, respectively.

“It seems impossible. First we announce the new Doctor, and then the older one, and also the beautiful Donna. What’s going on; Maybe an untold story or a parallel world is coming, a dream, a trick, a memory. The first thing I can confirm is that the tribute will be impressive as it will reunite two of our greatest heroes for an epic battle,” Davis said.

In a new trailer commemorating the anniversary of the show’s first episode, we see Tennant and Tate in action once again. It reveals the titles of three special episodes: “Star Beast”, “Wild Blue Over There”, and “Giggles”.

“The future is already here and that is Dshuthi. Sometimes talented people come, so bright, brave and brilliant. I just watch in awe and thank my luck. Dshuthi enchanted us. It’s an honor to work with him and I can’t wait to start filming. In the meantime, Jody’s epic finale arrives. I promise you that 2023 will be an exciting year,” Davis added.

Three special episodes of Doctor Who will be shown on the BBC shortly before their world premiere on the Disney+ platform.
