Nine students aged between 15 and 17 were arrested on Thursday evening (November 5) in Ioannina when they committed an act of vandalism at the city’s 4th gymnasium.

Minors entered the school, broke windows, doors and destroyed equipment. Because of the commotion, they were noticed by neighbors who called the police.

A group of 9 minors were taken to the Ioannina police station and a foreign property damage case was initiated against them.

According to police sources, their parents are also detained on charges of neglecting the care of minors. Parents and students are expected to be taken to the prosecutor’s office.
