The 70-year-old store manager turned a beach on the north side of Rhodes into a tavern as he didn’t hesitate to install outdoor grills, an oven, metal chimneys and a summer kitchen without the necessary permits.

However, as can be seen from his report cathimerini.grin addition to… culinary interventions, the 70-year-old man, who acts as temporary manager of one of the island’s most famous beach bars, has also set about building a bar using cement, as well as building a wooden platform (deck) to accommodate 355 tables and 85 umbrellas with two sun loungers each.

The actions of the 70-year-old man were noticed by the authorities, and on Wednesday morning (5.10) the man was arrested.

It was found that he did not have a license to occupy and use the beach area, as well as the necessary permission from the competent Archaeological Service to legally conduct business.
