Star on the Walk of Fame will be awarded Carrie Fisher May 4, the day dedicated to the popular series “star Wars” (“Star Wars”).
Fisher, also known as Princess Leia, who died in 2016, will star alongside her Star Wars co-stars Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill. The stars of the three actors are located on the famous avenue, not far from which the premiere of the first film took place in 1977.
The actress played Leia Organa, who transformed from princess to general, leading the forces of good in their fight against oppressive regimes seeking to control a galaxy far, far away. Fisher’s daughter and actress Billie Lourd will receive a star at the event.
On Star Wars Day, moviegoers around the world celebrate with a variety of gifts, and shopkeepers sell memorabilia at a special price.
Ford received his star in 2003 and Hamill in 2018. Stars on the Walk of Fame are awarded to nominated artists. Today, a $75,000 royalty was stolen from the creation and maintenance of the star.
