A large-scale fire at a fuel warehouse in the south of Russia in the Krasnodar region was caused by a drone strike, reports the Russian state news agency TASS with reference to emergency services.

The company did not give a reason for the restrictions. Last week, Moscow accused Ukraine of involvement in the fire at the Sevastopol oil depot in Crimea, which is the command center of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet.

The oil transshipment platform “Taman”, which is located across the Kerch Strait from Crimea at the confluence of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea, has the capacity to transship 20 million tons of crude oil, petroleum products and liquefied gas per year. .

In 2022, it transported 7.3 million tons of oil products from Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The Kerch Bridge, also known as Putin’s Bridge, which connects the Crimean peninsula to mainland Russia by road and rail, was damaged last October in an attack attributed to Ukraine by Russia and has not yet been fully restored.
