
Five people, including an 8-year-old child, were killed in a shooting at a home in Cleveland, Texas, ABC News reported Saturday, citing police and local authorities.
The attack happened on Friday evening, and police are still looking for a suspect.
The San Jacinto Sheriff’s Office received a call about a disturbance in Cleveland around 11:31 p.m. local time, but when they arrived at the scene, they found several victims who had been shot, according to ABC.
The San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office told the broadcaster that the suspect was a Mexican man who was intoxicated, armed and on the run.
Police have not released the identities of the victims or their possible relationship to the suspect, but said they are all from Honduras, ABC reported.
The attack took place in one house, four victims died on the spot, and the fifth died in the hospital.
The youngest of the dead was 8 years old, and the two female victims were found on top of the two surviving children.
