The PTPA supports Halep and is calling for a speedy trial

Founded in 2019 by Novak Djokovic and Vasek Pospisil, the Tennis Players Association (PTPA) aims to ensure “transparency and fairness in the decision-making process in professional tennis”.

The association released a statement in which it expressed its solidarity with the athletes who have been waiting too long for their cases to be resolved.

“One of the principles of the PTPA is that tennis players should enjoy fair anti-doping rules and regulations with full rights to a fair trial. This includes a timely review.

We fully support players in exercising their appeal rights and governing bodies should act with all deliberate speed to resolve cases. Athletes do not get their time back even if the call is won,” the PTPA announced, according to Eurosport.
