Two US military attack helicopters crashed on Thursday during a training flight in Alaska (northwest US), the US military said, without specifying the number of casualties in the accident, the second of its kind in less than a month. AFP reports.
Two Apache AH-64 helicopters “crashed today near Healy, Alaska while returning from a training flight,” the US Army’s 11th Airborne Division said in a statement.
“Emergency services are on the scene. The incident is under investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available,” the source said.
In late March, nine soldiers were killed when two US Army Black Hawk helicopters crashed during a nighttime training exercise in east-central Kentucky.
