Nicolae Chuke said he is analyzing several options after he will no longer be prime minister from May, when a government round will take place and PSD leader Marcel Čolaku will head the executive. The president of the NLP did not rule out the possibility of taking the post of deputy prime minister in the new government, but added that he is analyzing at least three options after the end of his mandate.

“There are several options that I am analyzing, and depending on the end of the mandate, I will make a decision. There are at least three options. It could also be an option,” said Nicolae Chuke, who was asked Thursday at a press conference after a meeting with members of the PNL Gorj if he would be deputy prime minister in the government led by Marcel Čolaku, according to the government’s rotation, reports News.ro.

The leader of liberals at a meeting with members of PNL Gorj said that the rotation will take place “quietly and peacefully”.

“There is no other political formula, because although we are talking about politics, there is some basic arithmetic in it, parliamentary arithmetic, which is given by the sum of votes. Now, as we speak, the reality confirms that there is no other political formula, and the reality, based on the need for stability, still forces us to show responsibility and complete the political partnership, as we committed ourselves when we promised to form a coalition and ensure its functioning. Thus, the government circular will be published at the end of May. We are still analyzing and, depending on how it will happen, we will make sure that this whole cycle takes place quietly and calmly. I hope that the electorate will understand that we finally have a political class that is not interested in anything other than the stability of the country and the implementation of those measures that we talk about and that we preach every time we speak to voters,” he explained.
