Deputies of the Education Committee adopted the amendment proposed by the Youth and Sports Committee of the Chamber of Deputies in this sense. “Students enjoy 75% reduced rates for visiting museums, concerts, theater performances, opera, cinema, public sports facilities, as well as other cultural and sports events organized by state institutions, within the limits of approved budgets,” the state amendment was adopted.

The commission also adopted an amendment that provides that each higher education institution creates a system of application and control over compliance with the provisions of the Code of Rights and Responsibilities of Students.

“Student associations may submit an annual report on compliance with the code, which is published on the institution’s website. The report is discussed at the first meeting of the university senate or faculty council after the start of the academic year, as the case may be.” The university or faculty is obliged to publish on its own website the report made by the student associations, as well as the measures taken to eliminate any identified deficiencies,” the text also reads, reports Agerpres.

Amendments adopted by the education committee must also be considered at the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies. National education bills will also be debated by the Senate, which in this case is the decision-making forum.
