According to the report, “none of the attempts” were successful. In addition, five Russian intelligence officers who “worked under diplomatic cover” were expelled from the country, writes LRT.

“The intensity of other types of activities of the Russian special services – intelligence operations, radio-electronic and cyber intelligence – remains high, therefore the Department of State Protection will pay primary attention to the prevention of these activities, the implementation of counter-intelligence actions and the strengthening of cyber security,” the message added.

The State Security Directorate also identified Russian companies operating in Lithuania that tried to help Russian citizens circumvent sanctions and passed information to “relevant state institutions.”
