The entire address of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi to his compatriots on Sunday evening was devoted to thanks and gratitude to those who are fighting at the front and in the rear, and separate movements of troops in Kherson raised suspicions that the expected Ukrainian counteroffensive will be very close to the start, writes News.ro .

“Today I want to focus on words of gratitude. First of all, to the soldiers (…), Zelenskyi said, then he listed several units stationed on the front line, whose merits he emphasized.

“This is important to understand in every city, in every village, everywhere where it is now more or less quiet, everywhere where today was just a calm and sunny spring day – every such quiet day in the rear areas will win our soldiers in fierce battles on the front lines. In daily battles! Please, please, please, please respect it. And always help our soldiers when they are in need, always support the state and defense in whatever way you can,” President Zelenskyy called on his compatriots.

“Secondly, I want to thank the rescuers, all our employees of the State Emergency Service, who were involved after the enemy strikes. (…) Thirdly, our psychologists. (…) The fourth point is that I am grateful to everyone who helps distribute our books in the world. I thank everyone who writes in Ukrainian and about Ukraine,” Zelenskyi listed other professional categories.

Finally, he paid tribute to the “invisible” work of diplomats.

“Almost every day we have relevant communications with our partners, urgent tasks for our diplomacy. Meetings, conversations, meetings. And I thank everyone who participated in this preparatory activity. In the vast majority of cases, this work is invisible to the public. And that’s right. Here’s how it works. The result depends on preparation. Thank you to everyone who prepares the results for Ukraine! The office, the government, our diplomatic missions – I thank everyone involved!”, Zelenskyy continued.

“Our victory in this war will be joint. Everyone who approached her. All those who fought and worked for victory. Glory to every Ukrainian hero! Glory to our beautiful people!” – concluded the Ukrainian president.
