Newcastle and Tottenham, false steps in the fight for the Champions League

Having lost this week in the first leg of the Champions League 1/4 finals against Real Madrid (2-0), Chelsea have not found a way to success in the Premier League this time.

The Londoners made it 5 league games without a win after losing at home to Brighton.

Frank Lampard’s side were authoritatively dominant at home, although they opened the scoring in the 13th minute through Gallagher.

Danny Welbeck replaced Evan Ferguson in the 39th minute and restored parity at Stamford Bridge three minutes later.

In the second half, the guests continued to dominate the game, missing numerous chances to take the goal.

In the end, Brighton scored the winning goal. Paraguayan Julio Enciso scored 2-1 in the 70th minute of the game, also setting the final score.

Also on Saturday, Newcastle were demolished 3-0 by Aston Villa at Villa Park.
